I recently received an email from a blog called Spotted by Locals to say their own Athens bloggers had been asked about their favorite independent Athens blogs & websites. Guess what, Letters from Athens was among the top five!
Spotted by Locals was started in Amsterdam in 2008 by co-founders Sanne and Bart van Poll. They have since expanded to more than 65 cities, both in Europe and America.
Handpicked locals write about their own favorite spots in each city. The site is stuffed with insider tips about cities from Turin to Bratislava, from Dublin to Berlin, as well as places as far away as Vancouver and Mexico City.
So, apart from the element of yet more shameless bragging, I thought it would be worth sharing – for any travellers out there.
