Today marks 25 years since the attack on the Twin Towers. Below is an extract from Tina Brown’s journal of those days – for those who don’t know, she is a British and American journalist, magazine editor, columnist, broadcaster, and author. Just as a reminder of something that can happen again, any day.
Has the world dealt with this, has anything improved, have lesson been learned? What do you think?
The headlines today are all about how AI can destroy humanity.
Sorry to be so depressing. I’m off to pick some tomatoes – taking solace in nature.

Thank you for the repost I would not have been able to read otherwise. My heart is crying . . . have we learned anything at all . . .? And . . . the fear of AI is growing inside me all the time . . . you go and pick tomatoes, I’ll think of what inviting to put on my plate and sit in the sun . . .

Solace in nature, excellent. I also tend to think solace in small things. The little things that are sometimes overlooked but so important like butterflies and the smell of coffee.

I used to love reading Tina Brown when she was the editor of Vanity Fair. Sad reminder that not much has improved since those days.
